The University of Central Missouri’s Agriculture certificate programs provide you with the knowledge, skills and certification to teach dual-credit agriculture courses to high school students to help these students earn college credit.
An Agriculture program certificate with online courses and in-person labs
Take six classes — over the course of two summers — and earn an Agriculture graduate certificate from the Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ. We combine online instruction with in-person labs that meet periodically on our Warrensburg campus to fulfill agriculture teacher education requirements to teach dual-credit courses in Missouri.

Gain advanced knowledge and skills in teaching agriculture through UCM’s Agriculture graduate certificate. In two years, you can finish Missouri’s agriculture teacher education requirements through core courses in:
Choose to focus in Animal Science or Plant Science
From there, choose between two options within our Agriculture certificate programs — Animal Science or Plant Science — featuring in-depth courses in each specialty area. Both graduate certificate options provide you with additional training that meets agriculture teacher education requirements.
Whether you choose the Plant Science or Animal Science program concentration in UCM’s Agriculture certificate, you’ll gain hands-on learning opportunities working with farm animal livestock or various plant species.
Specifically designed to meet Agriculture teacher education requirements, our Agriculture certificate programs will prepare you to work with high school students who are interested in Plant Science or Animal Science programs.

Specify if you want to be considered for the 75% tuition reimbursement. The application deadline for students enrolling for the summer 2022 session is April 30, 2022. The tuition reimbursement selection committee will contact you for additional information needed for the tuition reimbursement selection process.
