
Meet Professor Xiaodong Yue
Computer Science Professor and School Chair
Dr. Yue received his BS and MS from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1996 and 1999, respectively. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati in 2004. Dr. Yue joined the School of Computer Science and Mathematics as an assistant professor in 2004 and was promoted to professor in 2014. He was a visiting assistant professor with the Department of Computer Science at the Winston Salem State University between 2003 and 2004.
Dr. Yue's research interests include wireless communications and signal processing and he published many peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings on these areas. He also obtained more than half million funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and Google.
Dr. Yue is a senior member of IEEE, a technical reviewer for numerous journals and conferences, a panelist for NSF and a member of the Technical Program Committee for several international conferences.

Meet Professor Hyungbae Park
Cybersecurity Program Coordinator
Dr. Hyungbae Park received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science at the South Dakota State University and the University of Missouri-Kansas City, respectively, and is a GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE).
His research and interest areas are in high availability and scalability issues in Software-Defined Network (SDN), software-defined in-network data de-duplication, location privacy in sensor networks, network traffic/performance analysis and modeling, smartphone-based localization and authentication, and fault tolerance computing systems. His experiences and specialties include computer and network forensics, cryptography, cyber-physical systems security, ethical hacking, and network security.

Meet Professor Mahmoud Yousef
Computer Science Professor and Assistant Chair
Dr. Yousef joined the 欧美视频 in 2001. He has taught a variety of Mathematics and Computer Science courses including Applied Calculus, Computer Programming, Discrete Mathematics, Data Structures, Computer Architecture, Algorithms, Advanced Database, Data Mining, SAS Programming, and Big Data to name a few.
Dr. Yousef鈥檚 research interests include computer science education, computer simulation and modeling, data mining, and theoretical computer science. Dr. Yousef is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), a member of American Mathematical Society (AMS), and a member of the Steering Committee of Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges-Central Plains (CCSC-CP).

Meet Professor Rhonda McKee
Mathematics Professor and Program Coordinator
Rhonda McKee earned a Ph.D. in mathematics from Missouri University of Science and Technology. She's been a member of the UCM faculty for over 30 years, teaching mostly analysis and topology courses. Dr. McKee is a faculty sponsor for the Missouri Beta chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon, the national mathematics honor society, and the Central Baptist Student Union. In her spare time, she enjoys bicycling and other outdoor activities.

Meet Professor Belinda Copus
Computer Science and Software Engineering Program Coordinator
Belinda Copus is an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Computer Science at the 欧美视频, since 2013. She teaches courses in modern programming languages and technology ethics. Belinda is passionate about Computer Science education and is currently engaged in research focused on improving student retention in introductory computer science courses. Additionally, she advises computer science majors in planning coursework and exploring career options. She is also a faculty leader for the student chapters of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), the honor society Upsilon Pi Epsilon, and Women in Computing. She conducts student programming workshops targeted to high school and middles girls to spark interest in STEM fields.

Meet Professor William McGalliard
Mathematics Education Program Coordinator
Bill McGalliard earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from University of North Carolina at Greensboro and an M.S. in Statistics from North Carolina State University. He has been a faculty member at UCM for 6 years, teaching mostly mathematics education courses. Dr. McGalliard is one of the faculty sponsors of Central Missouri Mathematics Educators, the treasurer of the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and the editor of Intersection Points which is the newsletter of the Research Council on Mathematics Learning. In his spare time he enjoys playing with his three kids, carpentry, strength training, and the martial arts.

Meet Professor Phoebe McLaughlin
Professor and Assistant Chair
Dr. McLaughlin grew up in Taiwan, attended National Taiwan University and graduated
in 1981 with a BA in Library Science. She receive her MS and Ph.D. in Mathematics
from the University of Iowa in 1987 and 1991, respectively. Dr. McLaughlin joined
the School of Computer Science and Mathematics in 1991 and was promoted to full professor
in 2001.
Dr. McLaughlin teaches courses in probability and statistics, mathematics of finance,
and linear algebra. She supervises and coordinates Intermediate Algebra, general education
mathematics courses, and dual credit math courses. Dr. McLaughlin currently serves
as the secretary and treasurer of the Mathematical Association of America Missouri
Section and the Missouri Journal of Mathematical Sciences editor in algebra.
