Dr. Darlene Budd is a professor of Political Science and the Director of the International Studies program. She received her B.S. from Indiana University - Bloomington, a M.A. from San Francisco State University, and her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin 鈥 Milwaukee. She teaches courses on Asian politics, women and politics, globalization and international studies; and is the advisor for the Model United Nations student organization. Recent publications include an article in the Journal of Research on Women and Gender that explores how a gendered policy agenda may help close the mayoral ambition gender gap, and two book chapter contributions: 鈥淛apan and Global Climate Change鈥 in Climate Change, Policy and Security: State and Human Impact; and, 鈥淎SEAN鈥檚 response to the threat of ISIL鈥 in International Organizations on Global Security-Responses to the Rise of ISI. Dr. Budd is also a College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Meritorious Service Award Recipient.
