Tax Filing Considerations:
- No Earned Income in 2024?
- You must file with the IRS before the deadline (April 15, 2025). This applies even if you didn't
earn income in the U.S. during the year.
- Received Taxable Scholarships?
- If you received a taxable scholarship or stipend (e.g., a housing allowance), you
will need to file a form, which UCM will provide.
- Educational Credits ():
- This form is only for U.S. nationals and residents.
- If you are not a U.S. national or resident, you do not need this form for tax filing.
Sprintax will help you determine your U.S. residency status. If Sprintax identifies
you as a U.S. resident, please contact Student Financial Services for the 1098-T form.
