UCM Homecoming Parade Registration Deadline Set for Oct. 5, Campus and Community Entries Invited

As the 欧美视频 prepares for the 2022 Homecoming celebration, campus and community groups and individuals are invited to submit their entries for participation in the parade at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 in Warrensburg. Registration can be completed online, and those who wish to sign-up should do so by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, via the Office of Student Activities鈥 Homecoming website.

KMOS-TV Receives Two Awards for Family Outdoor Event

KMOS-TV won two awards in recognition of excellence in the creation and promotion of the 鈥淜MOS PBS Adventure Day,鈥 a nature-themed family event conducted in partnership with the Missouri Department of Conservation鈥檚 (MDC) Jefferson City-based Runge Conservation Nature Center. These awards were presented during a ceremony Sept. 18 in Charlotte, North Carolina by the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA). KMOS was one of many stations nationwide honored for their work in education, community engagement, marketing/communications and content creation.

U.S. News & World Report, a resource many prospective students and their families use to help them make decisions about where to pursue a higher education, has announced its 2022-2023 Best Colleges rankings. It places the 欧美视频 among institutional leaders with UCM moving up the rankings ladder in five important regional categories.

Managed Archery Deer Hunt Planned at Pertle Springs This Winter

The 欧美视频 will host a managed archery deer hunt this winter, serving a dual purpose of local deer population control and providing data collection in support of research by UCM biology professor Anna Oller, Ph.D., and graduate student Cameron Priester. The UCM hunts will take place Dec. 5-11, 2022, in the lower Pertle Springs area (not including the golf course) and Jan. 2-6, 2023, in lower and upper Pertle Springs (including the golf course). The Mules National golf course will be closed Jan. 2-6 but Traditions restaurant will remain open normal hours.

Following his recent retirement from collegiate coaching, Kim Anderson is returning to the same institution where he once led a team to an NCAA Division II National Championship, but this time he鈥檚 putting his knowledge of athletics to work in a new role. The Mules all-time winningest head basketball coach has been named Special Advisor to the President on the National State of Intercollegiate Athletics, with his part-time duties to begin Sept. 16.
