UCM's Electronic Access Project Helps Promote Safe and Healthy Campus

In an effort to promote a healthy and safe community environment, an electronic access project is underway at the Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ to enable faculty, staff and students to enter main campus buildings with the use of a key fob or via their cell phones. Work on the project is expected to be completed in approximately one year, although campus members may notice some minor changes in door operations while waiting for the project’s completion.

The Honors College Begins New Era at UCM's Achauer House

As competition between colleges and universities increases nationally for a smaller number of students who are entering higher education, one of the best assets an institution may possess is a vibrant honors college. This information was part of a message delivered to members of the Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ campus and the local community on Aug. 17 when they celebrated the relocation of The Honors College at UCM from the James C. Kirkpatrick Library to the Achauer House.

WARRENSBURG, MO – Part of its continued efforts to promote the physical, mental and emotional well-being of Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ students, the University Health Center (UHC) this fall has added services for students that range from a new psychiatric nurse practitioner to enhanced efforts to assist survivors of sexual and domestic assault to a new satellite health clinic. Funds provided through the Community Health Fee, an initiative by the Student Government Association that was supported by students are helping to make these services possible.

Holden St., Warrensburg, is planned for 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, and all members of the university community and other interested individuals are invited to attend.
