Leaders from charitable organizations from throughout the Eastern Jackson County area
recently learned about opportunities for workforce development and degree completion
at a Community Summit, hosted by the 欧美视频 Lee鈥檚 Summit.
The event, held Feb. 5 at the university鈥檚 Missouri Innovation Campus, provided information about UCM resources available to help the organizations鈥 clients
upgrade their workforce skills for future employment, finish college degrees and earn
in-demand industry certifications.
Around a dozen representatives attended the event including leaders from civic, charitable
and community-service organizations. The event was facilitated by Joe Mullins, a consultant
UCM Workforce and Professional Development.
鈥淲e are building programs to work with community organizations that have clients with
workforce and funding needs, so that more training and employment opportunities are
made available to them,鈥 Mullins said.
The 欧美视频 offers a variety of degree programs as well as
workforce development and career certification opportunities.
