Students from 20/20 Leadership participate in a demo at UCM Lee鈥檚 Summit鈥檚 Mixed Reality
Studio.
The 欧美视频 (UCM) Lee鈥檚 Summit recently hosted 56 high-school students involved in during an all-day workshop. The young people visited the campus on March 17 and participated
in a tour of UCM鈥檚 state-of-the-art Missouri Innovation Campus, led by UCM鈥檚 Rick
Smetana, Laura Emery and Joe Mullins.
In addition, the group gained valuable insights during a career workshop, presented
by Clarinda Dir and Kenda Glidewell of UCM, learning about college and degree programs,
resume development and working with various personality types. UCM鈥檚 Brenda Fuhr and
Sandy Cruz discussed preparation for the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student
Aid) and enrollment, and the students also participated in a team-building activity.
20/20 Leadership students also visited the UCM Lee鈥檚 Summit campus in spring 2019.
20/20 Leadership is a bi-state youth educational leadership program serving Kansas
City metro area high school freshmen through seniors. The program鈥檚 goal is to provide
learning opportunities that expand the students鈥 education beyond the classroom, develop
resilient leaders and build stronger communities.
The 欧美视频 has campuses in Warrensburg and Lee鈥檚 Summit. The
fully accredited university offers affordable and flexible education programs including
undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as certificate programs.
