An unpaid leave of absence may be granted in extraordinary circumstances where leave is deemed mutually beneficial to both 欧美视频 and the employee.
Supervisors may not approve leave without pay in lieu of using vacation or personal leave. Accrued vacation, personal, and/or sick leave must be exhausted before unpaid leave may be approved.
Requests for unpaid leave must be submitted in advance and approved by the supervisor and Human Resources. When an unpaid leave of absence extends longer than 30 working days, return to the previously held position is not guaranteed. However, the university will attempt to provide a position of comparable classification and compensation.
Unpaid leaves of absences may be granted for a maximum of six months. University paid benefits cease at the end of the first full month of unpaid leave. Failure to return to work on a specified date from an unpaid leave of absence will be considered a resignation.
