Award-winning fiction writer Alexander Weinstein will host a screening of the film After Yang at 6 p.m. Nov. 2, in the 欧美视频鈥檚 Elliot Student Union Auditorium, 511 S. Holden St., in Warrensburg. At 5 p.m., UCM will host Weinstein for an author talk, book signing and reception in the Union Atrium. The event is free and open to the public.

Beginning next year, the Missouri Innovation Campus (MIC) program will launch a highly sought-after bachelor鈥檚 degree combining artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and data science. The Bachelor of Science in Data Science will start in summer 2024, said Stan Elliott, MIC program director, and is offered through the MIC program鈥檚 partners 鈥 the 欧美视频, Lee鈥檚 Summit R-7 School District and Metropolitan Community College.
