UCM Theatre and Dance Presents World Premier of "VOUCHer; or, That PTA Play" By Benjamin Gonzales; ASL Interpreter on Feb. 24 and Sunday Matinee is Pay-What-You-Can
WARRENSBURG, MO 鈥� 欧美视频 Theatre and Dance presents 鈥淰OUCHer; Or, That PTA Play鈥� by Benjamin Gonzales. The play is on the lighter side of a dark comedy and follows the comings and goings of a group of dedicated parents as they work to hold their dwindling PTA group together. The play performs at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday Feb. 24-26 and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27. ASL Interpreters will be available at the Thursday, Feb. 24 show, and the Sunday matinee is pay-what-you-can. This play is for mature audiences only.

Donald Johanson, Internationally Known Discoverer of 'Lucy,' will Present Public Lecture at UCM
Known worldwide for his role in the ground-breaking discovery of 鈥淟ucy,鈥� which researchers consider a direct ancestor to humankind,, paleoanthropologist Donald Johanson, Ph.D., will make a public presentation at the 欧美视频 on Monday, March 28. His lecture is free and open to the public, and begins at 7 p.m. in Hendricks Hall, located on the second floor of the Administration Building. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Murray State Educator Assumes New Role Leading UCM Agriculture Programs
Michelle Mullins Santiago, Ph.D., an educator who has been actively engaged in teaching agribusiness and economics continuously since 2008, will join the 欧美视频 as the chair of its academic agriculture program. UCM Provost and Vice President for Academic Affair Phil Bridgmon announced her appointment, noting that Santiago officially begins her new duties July 1, 2022.

ABC News Veteran, 'What Would You Do?' Host, John Qui帽ones, to Visit UCM
John Qui帽ones, ABC News veteran and creator and host of the popular 鈥淲hat Would You Do?鈥� nationally televised program, will speak at the 欧美视频 Wednesday, Feb. 23. His free presentation, made possible by the Center for Multiculturalism and Inclusivity, is open to the public and is the first talk in what the center hopes will become many conversations with distinguished visitors to UCM in the months ahead. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend this event at 7 p.m. in Nahm Auditorium, located in the W.C. Morris Science Building.

VTR Gift Supports Aviation Student in Seeking Commercial Pilot Certification
The 欧美视频鈥檚 role in helping to address a national pilot shortage and to fill other vital positions in the aviation field through training is benefitting from the School of Aviation鈥檚 relationships with organizations that share the same interest. Among such groups, VTR (Visionary Training Resources) recently made a financial gift to help a UCM student reduce a portion of the expenses needed toward earning a Commercial Pilot Certificate.

Board Authorizes Change in Aviation Flight Fees, Naming of Building Space
In its special plenary session Jan. 27, the 欧美视频 Board of Governors approved an increase in aviation fixed wing flight fees and established an aviation fuel surcharge. This was in addition to authorizing an agreement for on-call fence services, the naming of a space for future renovation in the Lovinger Building, and approving updates for the university鈥檚 strategic plan.
